When does ENGAGE Festival 2026 take place and how long does it last?
The 2026 edition runs over two days inside the historic Kastellet fortress in central Copenhagen: Friday 19 June from 3:00 pm to midnight, and Saturday 20 June from 12:00 pm to midnight.
What time do check-in and site access open?
Check-in, where you exchange your ticket for a wristband, opens at 2:30 pm on Friday and 11:30 am on Saturday. The festival grounds then open 30 minutes after check-in. Arriving early is recommended, especially on Friday.
Can children get in for free?
Yes. Children under 15 enter free of charge when accompanied by an adult over 18; a child ticket is registered at the entrance.
Is the festival cashless?
Yes, ENGAGE is entirely cashless. Payment is by card (Dankort, Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. MobilePay is not accepted, and neither is cash.
Is food available on site?
Yes, food and drinks are sold on site and the bars serve throughout the festival (Friday 3:00 pm to midnight, Saturday 12:00 pm to midnight). Picnic baskets can be collected at Grevens Bastion until 8:00 pm. Bringing your own food and drink is not permitted.
How do I get there by public transport?
The Kastellet is served by the S-train: get off at Østerport, Nordhavn, Svanemøllen or Ryparken (a 1.5 to 2 km walk). Østerport also connects to the metro (M3, M4), regional trains and several bus lines. The festival recommends leaving the car at home and coming by bike or public transport.
Is the festival accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Yes. Holders of a companion card get a free ticket for their helper (bookable through Ticketmaster's customer service). A new accessibility platform with a good view of the concerts is set up between the two stages, and accessible toilets are located on the same side as the entrance.
How many editions has ENGAGE held?
2026 marks the festival's 10th anniversary. Organised by the Veteranfonden in support of Danish veterans, it opens Saturday with a special anniversary show.
