More about April 2027
April brings the timid return of open-air festival season: after a quiet winter, 39 festivals are scheduled across April 2027, spanning the last Easter dates and the first true spring outings. The month stays hybrid — part indoor showcase, part electronic rave, part early outdoor kickoff.
The lineup is led by Tallinn Music Week, an Estonian showcase festival bringing together 186 artists on its own, followed by Teddy Rocks (92 artists) on a UK farm and Motel Mozaique in the Netherlands (63 artists). Techno fans head to Time Warp Germany in Mannheim, while Cruise to the Edge sets sail on a prog-rock cruise linking Miami and Puerto Plata. On the genre side, Rock (17 festivals) narrowly leads Pop (14) and Electronic (12), keeping the month eclectic.
Geographically, the United States host the most events (14), driven by a wide spread of smaller festivals rather than one giant gathering, ahead of Germany (5), the United Kingdom and the Netherlands (3 each) and Canada (2). Coming off a still-wintry March, April marks the turn toward outdoor season — pack something warm for the evenings, since the weather stays unsettled before May takes over.
