December ushers in winter, but the festt.io calendar keeps moving: 34 festivals are listed this month. Gone are summer's open fields — instead expect tighter formats indoors, clubs and mountain resorts, plus a handful of getaways to warmer climates that stretch the season under a different sky.
The month is led by EDC Thailand (Round 2), an electronic stopover in Phuket, Thailand (79 artists), and by Cyclops Cove in Boca Raton, Florida (55 artists) — both riding the warmer weather. In France, Rise Festival takes over Les 2 Alpes for more than a week, while Eindhoven Metal Meeting brings metal fans together in the Netherlands. Across the month, Rock leads with 10 festivals, ahead of Electronic and Pop (8 festivals each).
Geographically, the United States leads with 7 festivals, ahead of France (6), Germany (5) and Thailand (3). After November's electronic nights, December confirms the shift indoors and toward sunnier escapes, before January takes over with its own cruises and warm-weather destinations. It's a good time to book a festive break either side of the holidays.
