À Travers Chants 2026: French Chanson Festival in Saint-Saulve
À Travers Chants celebrates auteur French chanson at MJC Athéna / Espace Athéna in Saint-Saulve. From March 6-28, 2026, this festival offers 11 concerts highlighting artists who place lyrics and melody at the heart of their creation. Since its inception, the event has established itself as a spring gathering for chanson à texte in the Hauts-de-France region. The intimate MJC setting encourages attentive listening and proximity with artists.
The 2026 edition features demanding programming led by Charlélie Couture, Mathieu Boogaerts, and Zaza Fournier. The lineup also includes Les Goguettes, Moi Mathilde et Jacques Brel, Malou, and Paname Rétro. This selection combines French chanson icons with a new generation of singer-songwriters in a spirit of transmission and discovery.
Musically, À Travers Chants explores the territories of auteur pop and Francophone singer-songwriter. The festival favors artists who work on writing with rigor and sincerity, from intimate ballads to more rhythmic songs. This approach allows rediscovery of the richness of the French language set to music in all its stylistic and generational diversity.
