March marks the awakening of the festival season: with 503 festivals spread across the month, spring takes hold on stages across the world. It is a time of renewal, where musical discoveries meet reunions with major headliners, spanning concert halls, urban parks and the first outdoor events.
The month kicks off with several standout events: Treefort Music Fest in the United States gathers 175 artists around an eclectic lineup, Lollapalooza Brazil draws 117 artists to Santiago, and Tecate Pal Norte ignites Mexico with 113 artists. In the UK, Southport Weekender Festival rounds out the highlights. The dominant genres are Rock (189 festivals), Pop (130) and Electro (126).
The United States leads the map by a wide margin with 166 festivals, ahead of France (94), the United Kingdom (36), Australia (29) and Germany (25). An ideal month to explore American and French scenes before the explosion of summer.
