Festivals in September 2027

September marks the shift between late summer and the back-to-school season: the last open-air gatherings sit alongside urban and indoor formats, making for a mixed calendar. The month lists 27 festivals, a more modest volume than in peak season but enough to close out the warm months with live music.

Among the biggest events, Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg brings together 307 artists from 15 to 18 September, ahead of the Hullabaloo Festival (52 artists) in the Netherlands and the Big Blues Bender in Las Vegas (21 artists). On the genre side, rock and folk are tied with 6 festivals each, closely followed by pop (5 festivals).

Geographically, the United States (13 festivals) leads by a wide margin, ahead of the United Kingdom (7), the Netherlands (3), Canada (2) and Germany (1). To keep exploring, head to August 2027 for the heart of the summer season.
