Future House is an electronic music genre characterized by a fusion of deep house and UK garage, often incorporating elements from other EDM styles, resulting in a groovy, energetic sound with prominent basslines and often syncopated rhythms. It emerged in the early 2010s, initially coined as a "joke" by French DJ Tchami on SoundCloud, before gaining significant international popularity. Key artists who popularized the sound include Oliver Heldens, Tchami, and Showtek. The genre's accessible yet sophisticated sound has made it a staple in both clubs and mainstream electronic music.
