Post-Punk Revival

Post-Punk Revival: 26 upcoming festivals, including 12 with tickets on sale.

Post-Punk Revival music typically features angular guitar riffs, prominent basslines, and often driving, danceable rhythms, creating an atmosphere that can be both brooding and energetic. Emerging in the early 2000s, it drew heavily from the experimentalism, introversion, and greater elaboration of late 1970s post-punk and new wave, moving beyond the radicalism of punk rock. Iconic artists include Interpol, The Killers, and Franz Ferdinand. The genre significantly impacted indie rock, bringing a sophisticated edge and renewed interest in its influential predecessors.
