Hive Festival 2026: techno and electronic music at Ferropolis, Germany
Set on the spectacular industrial site of Ferropolis in Germany, Hive Festival has established itself as a landmark for alternative electronic music. With giant excavators converted into stages and post-industrial landscapes, the festival hosts 140 artists over three days for an immersive experience at the crossroads of techno and experimental sounds.
The 2026 edition covers broad ground: from hardcore techno delivered by Angerfist to progressive trance with Ace Ventura and Captain Hook, plus hypnotic sets from Ben Klock and Charlie Sparks.
The festival also embraces rawstyle, acid techno, dub techno, and various forms of hi-tech psytrance. You'll also find rock, metal, and even jazz, proving an eclectic programming that transcends genres and cultivates surprises.

How many stages does Hive Festival have?
The festival spreads across 10 themed stages: Techno Castle, Rage Cage, Groove Beach, Psy Lagoon, Bounce Temple, Disco Forest, Libidoh Lab, Sleepless, Pirate Bay and Junkyard.
What are the dates and opening hours?
Hive takes place at Ferropolis from 19 to 21 June 2026. The grounds are open continuously from Friday 11:00 am to Sunday 10:00 pm, totalling 57 hours of programme. A warm-up party runs from Thursday at 6:00 pm (separate ticket).
Is there a campsite?
Yes. You can camp for up to 5 days in natural surroundings right by Lake Gremmin. The campsite opens on Thursday at 2 pm (regular access) and stays open until Monday at 2 pm; an Early Camping pass lets you set up as early as Wednesday at 2 pm. To pitch your tent next to your car or van, a Car/Van Camping Pass is required (per vehicle, not per person).
How do you pay on site?
Payment is exclusively cashless, via an RFID chip built into the festival wristband. Registration on the event portal is required, and top-ups can be made online (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or on site (cash, card). The remaining balance can be refunded through the portal until 31 July 2026.
What is the nearest station, and are there shuttles?
The nearest train station is Gräfenhainichen, reachable via Deutsche Bahn. Shuttle buses run from there to Ferropolis several times an hour (Thursday 2 pm-midnight, Friday 10 am-midnight, Saturday 10 am-10 pm, Monday 10 am-2:30 pm). The nearest airports are Berlin (BER, about 2 hours) and Leipzig (LEJ, about 1 hour).
