When were Les Francophonides created?
The first edition of Les Francophonides took place in 2011, in France; the festival grew from a single day in 2011 to two days from 2012.
What is the festival's concept?
It is the south-west Lyon festival dedicated to French-speaking music and culture, run by the Echanges Francophones association. It mixes established artists with young talents, alongside educational and playful activities (library, schools, associations), and takes part in the French Ministry of Culture's "Dis-moi dix mots" programme.
Where is it held?
Since 2021, the festival has been based at the Parc Jean de La Fontaine, in the Oullins - Pierre-Bénite area.
