Rockharz 2026: metal festival in Ballenstedt, Germany
Since 2003, Rockharz has established itself as one of Germany's leading metal gatherings. Held at Flugplatz Ballenstedt in Saxony-Anhalt, the festival welcomes 48 artists each year over four days and draws thousands of extreme music fans to a historic setting.
The 2026 edition celebrates death metal, black metal, thrash metal and power metal. The festival also ventures into folk metal, melodic death metal, doom metal and progressive metal for four days of non-stop performances.
The programme blends heavy metal legends and underground acts in a friendly yet radical atmosphere. Groove metal, symphonic metal, viking metal and pagan metal round out a resolutely extreme bill.
