TRNSMT Festival 2026: indie rock festival in Glasgow, Scotland
Launched in 2017, TRNSMT Festival has become Scotland's largest rock and pop festival. Every year, it takes over Glasgow Green, a vast urban park in the heart of Glasgow, for three days of concerts attracting over 50,000 festival-goers per day.
From June 19 to 21, 2026, 31 artists take the stage with a lineup dominated by alternative rock and indie pop. Headliners include Scottish Lewis Capaldi, British veterans Kasabian, and Northern Irish Two Door Cinema Club.
The musical spectrum ranges from post-punk 2K to singer-songwriter, alongside garage rock, folktronica, and shoegaze. Featuring Amy MacDonald, Wolf Alice, The Fratellis, and The Last Dinner Party, the festival showcases the richness of the contemporary British scene, between major voices and indie discoveries.

What are the dates and duration of the 2026 edition?
TRNSMT runs over three days, from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 June 2026, at Glasgow Green. The Friday notably features a World Cup screening on site.
What time do gates open and how late does the site stay open?
Gates open at 12:00 each day, with last entry at 21:30. On Saturday and Sunday the arena closes at 23:00 (arena bars at 22:30, VIP Garden at midnight); on Friday the arena and bars stay open until 01:00. The Box Office is open 11:00 to 21:30 on show days.
Which station is closest and how do I get there?
Glasgow Green is served by five railway stations, all within a fifteen-minute walk: Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street (both with step-free access), Glasgow High Street, Argyle Street and Bridgeton. Two subway stations are also a fifteen-minute walk away, Buchanan Street and St Enoch (subway not running after the event on Sunday). By coach, Buchanan Bus Station is roughly a 20-minute walk from the entrance.
Is there food on site?
Food stalls are spread across the site, and every stall has a dedicated queue-jump system for accessible ticket holders. In the VIP area, bars and street food are available, catering to all dietary requirements.
Is the festival open to children?
No: no under-16s are admitted. A Challenge 25 policy applies, valid, in-date original photographic ID may be required, and bar access is restricted to those aged 18 and over.
Is payment cashless?
The box offices accept card payments only, cash is not permitted. On site, some points such as the VIP Priority Bar are cashless only.
Is the festival accessible for disabled visitors?
Yes. TRNSMT holds the Platinum level of the Attitude is Everything award and runs a year-round accessibility team. Facilities include a raised viewing platform with ramped access, charging points for mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs and nearby accessible toilets, a ground-level viewing area, accessible toilets at the main blocks, and British Sign Language (BSL) interpreting and/or live captioning on request.
