True Thrash Fest 2026: the thrash metal festival in Osaka, Japan
True Thrash Fest is an underground event dedicated to thrash metal and extreme music. Held at Esaka Muse in Osaka, this two-day festival brings together 7 artists from the Japanese and international thrash scene in one of the Kansai region's legendary venues, for a raw and uncompromising celebration of 80s metal.
The 2026 edition features a purist and aggressive thrash lineup. Among the headliners: Tankard, German thrash legends since 1982, Abigail, Japanese black metal pioneers, and Traitor in speed metal.
The programming explores the roots of extreme metal with old-school heavy metal, black metal, and pure thrash metal. BÜTCHER, Impaler, Casbah, and OUTBREAK RIOT embody the Japanese underground scene, between furious blast beats and sharp riffs in the German-Japanese thrash tradition.
On February 14 and 15, 2026, Osaka will celebrate thrash metal in all its violence. Two days of uncompromising metal. Check the lineup and book your tickets.
