Way Out West 2027: August 12-14 in Gothenburg
Way Out West takes place on the second weekend of August in Slottsskogen, a 137-hectare park in central Gothenburg. Founded in 2007 and run by the promoter Luger, it became a full three-day festival in 2012. The programme centres on rock, electronic music and hip-hop, with the Stay Out West club strand continuing into the night at venues across the city. It was the first Swedish festival to gain KRAV certification, and since 2012 all food served on site has been vegetarian. The 2026 edition sold out in every ticket category for the first time.
