Assault of the Undead 2026: the death metal festival in Vechta, Germany
Assault of the Undead is an underground festival dedicated to death metal and extreme music, held at Gulfhaus Jugend- & Kulturzentrum in Vechta, Lower Saxony. This annual gathering brings together 5 artists from the European death metal scene in a youth cultural center, offering a raw and uncompromising experience for sonic brutality enthusiasts.
The 2026 edition features a radical death metal lineup. Among the headliners: Graceless in death-doom metal, Deserted Fear in melodic death metal, and Japanische Kampfhörspiele, cult German grindcore band.
The programming explores the most extreme facets of death metal with deathgrind and touches of traditional heavy metal. Aeon of Disease completes this day of brutality, in the DIY spirit of the Germanic underground scene, between devastating riffs and relentless blast beats.
