Boardmasters takes place in Newquay, Cornwall. The music runs at Trebelsue Farm above Watergate Bay, while the surf and skate contests are held on Fistral Beach. The event began in 1981 as a surfing competition and added music in 2005. It now has ten stages covering rock, indie, alternative and dance, with a capacity of 58,000 in 2024.
