Lounge: 19 upcoming festivals, including 4 with tickets on sale.

Lounge music evokes a sophisticated, relaxed ambiance, characterized by smooth, often electronic easy-listening sounds, perfect for upscale bars and fashionable small cabarets. Originating from the mid-20th century's "cocktail nation" and later evolving with electronic influences, it draws from jazz, exotica, and bossa nova, designed to create a "cosy" and refined atmosphere. Iconic artists include Burt Bacharach, Martin Denny, and Esquivel, whose arrangements defined the genre's elegant sonic landscape. Its cultural impact is evident in its continued presence in chic lounge bars and private airport waiting rooms, providing a backdrop for leisure and luxury.
