Vocal House

Vocal House: 5 upcoming festivals, including 1 with tickets on sale.

Vocal House is characterized by its soulful, often deep female vocals, typically delivered by jazz-influenced divas, layered over a foundation of piano melodies, disco basslines, and jazz samples, creating an uplifting and energetic atmosphere. Originating in the United States in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the genre later absorbed influences from Italy and the Balearic Islands, evolving from the broader house music movement. While specific artists aren't named in the source, its enduring popularity is evident in contemporary DJs' frequent collaborations with vocalists. This vibrant subgenre continues to thrive, with its focus on powerful vocal performances remaining a key cultural impact within electronic dance music.
