Golden R. Festival 2026: the metal festival in Lamia, Greece
Golden R. Festival is an event dedicated to classic and progressive metal. Held at the Open Cultural Center in Lamia, central Greece, this festival brings together 5 artists from the European heavy metal scene for a day of concerts celebrating the golden age of 80s and 90s metal, in a friendly and expert atmosphere.
The 2026 edition features a prestigious heavy metal and power metal lineup. Among the headliners: Crimson Glory, American US power metal legends, Rage, German speed metal veterans, and Coroner in Swiss technical thrash metal.
The musical palette explores progressive metal territories with avant-garde metal, melodic death metal via Nightrage, and groove metal. Bob Katsionis brings a neoclassical touch to this celebration of European metal, between technical virtuosity and epic melodies.
