Hellfest 2027: the twentieth edition of extreme music in Clisson
Launched in 2006 after the end of Furyfest, Hellfest returns from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 June 2027 in Clisson, Loire-Atlantique, some 30 km south-east of Nantes, France. The event bills itself as the country's biggest gathering for extreme music and puts numbers on it: 60,000 people a day and 240,000 across the four days, known as the "Hellbangers". After a 19th edition in 2026, the organisers announce the twentieth, written in Roman numerals (XX).
Six stages, six families of sound. More than 180 bands play each year: the two Mainstages mix metal, rock and punk, while the Warzone takes punk and hardcore, the Valley stoner and doom, the Altar death and grind, and the Temple black and pagan.
