MPS Luhmühlen 2026: the medieval folk metal festival in Lower Saxony, Germany

MPS Luhmühlen celebrates medieval music and folk metal in a rural setting in Lower Saxony. From September 4-6, this family-friendly festival brings together 10 artists specializing in medieval and folk sounds, with a unique medieval-fantasy atmosphere in Germany.

The 2026 edition highlights Germany's FEUERSCHWANZ and Saltatio Mortis, two pillars of German medieval metal, as well as Sweden's YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS. The lineup also includes D'Artagnan and Subway to Sally.

The festival explores the boundaries of metal and medieval rock, with bands like WARKINGS, Versengold, and Kupfergold. You'll also find touches of celtic folk, heavy metal, and industrial metal, while Heavysaurus brings a child-friendly dimension, illustrating the festive diversity of the event with Haggefugg.
