📋About
Øyafestivalen 2026: four days in an Oslo park, with sustainability as method
Norway's flagship runs 12 to 15 August 2026 in Tøyenparken, a city park in Oslo you can walk to from the centre — a choice that shapes everything else, since it lets the audience sleep at home instead of camping.
A front-rank 2026 bill
The official site announces The Cure, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and Wilco among the confirmed names, on a bill that traditionally mixes international headliners with the Scandinavian scene, from pop to electronic and indie pop.
Ticketing built around age and day
Rather than a single pass, the official grid offers a four-day pass in standard, under-18 and under-23 tiers, a weekday pass (Wednesday-Thursday), a weekend pass (Friday-Saturday) and single-day tickets.
On the environmental side the festival displays its certifications on the site itself — organic labels and Norwegian "environmental lighthouse" (Miljøfyrtårn) status — and highlights food vendors who "make food with consideration, for both people and the planet". It is one of the few European festivals to treat that as a supplier-selection criterion rather than a communications line.

❓FAQ
When does Øyafestivalen 2026 take place?
From Wednesday 12 to Saturday 15 August 2026 — four nights — in Tøyenparken in Oslo. Wednesday and Thursday had been sold out for months: after recounting capacity, the festival released a small batch of extra day tickets at NOK 1,699 including fees, going on sale at 10:00 every morning from Monday 10 August.
Which stages does the festival use?
The biggest stage is the Amfiet, where The Cure play on Wednesday 12 August at 20:30, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds on Thursday 13 at 21:00, sombr on Friday 14 at 21:30 and Dagny on Saturday 15 at 21:30. The official site also refers to a second stage, Klubben, whose line-up was completed in the spring.
How can I avoid the queue at the gate?
Swap your ticket for a wristband in advance at Jernbanetorget, on Monday 10 August from 11:30 to 19:00 and Tuesday 11 August from 11:30 to 21:00; every ticket category is accepted there and photo ID is required.
