Skullcrusher Fest Freiburg takes over ArTik in Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg. On May 8-9, this indoor festival celebrates underground metal with an eclectic lineup ranging from death metal to post-metal and traditional heavy metal.
The 2026 edition brings together 10 bands headlined by Germany's Chapel of Disease, Never, and the US's VICIOUS RUMORS, legends of US power metal. The local scene is represented by Death Commander and Venator.
The festival explores the boundaries of modern metal, from doom metal to sludge metal, with bands like Zatokrev, Winselmutter, and Blood Torrent. You'll also find touches of black metal, post-rock, and progressive rock with The Fifth Alliance and MORBYDA, illustrating the stylistic diversity of the alternative metal scene.
