Under the Black Sun 2026: black metal festival in Germany
Under the Black Sun is a must-attend event for black metal and extreme music enthusiasts in Germany. Organized annually since 2000, this festival brings together several thousand fans in an authentic underground atmosphere, far from large commercial productions.
The 2026 edition hosts 13 artists from July 2-4, with a lineup focused on heavy metal and its darkest derivatives. Among the headliners: Nunslaughter, American death metal legends, alongside Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult and Helheim, Norwegian black metal icons.
The lineup also explores the genre's boundaries, from melodic black metal to death metal sonorities, with touches of dark ambient. Doodswens and Mavorim complete a bill that emphasizes authenticity and extremity.
