Chaos Descends Festival 2026: underground black and death metal festival in Crispendorf, Germany
A cult event on the European extreme metal scene, Chaos Descends Festival takes place at Ferienland in Crispendorf, Thuringia. This nature-based site hosts every summer fans of black metal, death metal, and old-school heavy metal in an authentic and uncompromising atmosphere.
From July 16 to 18, 2026, 13 bands take over the stages for three days of black metal, death metal, and speed metal. Headliners include Norwegian Aura Noir, Dodheimsgard, and Swedish band Century.
The lineup ranges from doom metal to avant-garde metal, alongside deathrock and NWOBHM, featuring bands like Obliteration, Nekromantheon, Bulldozer, and Poison Ruïn. Between radical Norwegian black metal and traditional heavy metal, the festival offers an authentic panorama of underground metal.
