The Festegnen celebrates the golden age of dance and eurodance from the 90s and 2000s. This unique festival brings together iconic artists who have marked several generations of dancers. With 35 artists scheduled, Festegnen offers a nostalgic journey into the universe of dance hits that made European dance floors vibrate for two decades.
The 2026 lineup brings together the icons of eurodance and dance-pop. Legends Scooter and Snap! share the stage with Cascada and Sigala. Danish formations Infernal, Barcode Brothers and Østkyst Hustlers represent the local scene.
Festegnen explores the festive universe of commercial dance music. From bubblegum dance to dance-pop, including dance and ambient trance, the festival celebrates catchy choruses and driving beats. The stages also host club and dansktop sounds.
With its joyful and unpretentious atmosphere, Festegnen offers a unique festival experience where multiple generations gather to celebrate together their love of dance music. A festival that proves that the hits from the 90s and 2000s have lost none of their driving power and ability to make crowds dance.

How many stages does Festegnen have, and what are they called?
The festival features four stages, each with its own identity: the Live Stage (big live acts such as Black Eyed Peas, Faithless and Scooter), the Vi Elsker Stage (90s and 00s nostalgia), the 360° Stage (electronic DJ sets) and Bodega Royal.
What are the dates and opening hours?
Festegnen takes place over two days at Espelunden in Rødovre: Friday 19 June (gates 2:00 pm, closing at midnight) and Saturday 20 June (gates 11:00 am, closing at midnight).
Is camping available?
Yes, through a partnership with Absalon Camping, which sets up a dedicated festival-goer area very close to Espelunden and within walking distance. You may pitch a two-person tent of up to 250 x 250 cm (write "Festegnen" in the comment field when booking). A festival-hotel package at Scandic Hvidovre, with a shuttle bus to the site, is also offered.
What food and drink is on offer?
The food stalls serve vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free dishes, along with alcohol-free options (beer and gin). Four large bars are spread across the site. Bringing your own food and drink is not allowed, but storage lockers are provided at the entrance for guests with allergies or special dietary needs.
How do I get to the festival?
Parking at or beside the site is not possible, so public transport is recommended. A dedicated bus (Anchersen) runs round trips on both days as an add-on via Ticketmaster, and Taxa 4×35 drops you off close to the entrance (mention "Festegnen" with your booking).
Is there a cloakroom for my belongings?
Yes, secure Volt lockers (30 x 30 x 50 cm) are located near the entrance, past the wristband check. You can rent a locker for one day or for both, with a personal code and free access throughout the rental period.
