Jazz à Semur 2026: jazz festival in Burgundy, France

For over thirty years, Jazz à Semur has taken over the medieval city of Semur-en-Auxois in Côte-d'Or for an essential summer gathering of the French jazz scene. Organized in heritage venues (churches, vaulted halls, public squares), the festival blends intimate concerts and musical encounters in a preserved historic setting.

The 2026 edition features 13 artists over three days of programming, with a focus on creative jazz and improvised music. Headliners include Andy Emler, a major figure in French contemporary jazz, Claude Tchamitchian on double bass, and Vincent Bourgeyx.

The lineup also explores the edges of nu jazz and jazz fusion, with excursions into hip-hop embodied by Emile Londonien. The festival also emphasizes transmission, with participation from the Dijon Conservatory.
