Kuopiorock is one of the most established rock and metal festivals in Kuopio, a lakeside city in central Finland. This three-day summer festival offers a diverse programme combining Finnish artists and international names.
The 2026 edition (23 to 25 July) is headlined by Klamydia and W.A.S.P., with recognised acts including DANKO JONES, Eppu Normaali and Käärijä.
The programme covers hip-hop, country and pop, with a core of death-doom metal, crossover prog and alternative hip-hop. Glam metal and garage rock complete this varied spectrum.
From 23 to 25 July 2026 in Kuopio, Kuopiorock gathers fans of heavy and alternative Finnish music. Tickets on sale on the official website.

What are the dates and opening hours?
Kuopiorock 2026 runs from 23 to 25 July 2026 (Thursday to Saturday) at Väinölänniemi in Kuopio; this is the festival's 23rd edition. Gates open Thursday at 16:00, Friday at 15:30 and Saturday at 15:30. The ticket sales, info, check-in and wristband exchange points are open Thursday 15:00-00:00 and Friday/Saturday 14:30-00:00; the cloakroom (narikka) stays open until 02:00.
Where is the festival held and how do you get there?
The festival takes place on the Väinölänniemi peninsula in Kuopio, Finland. You can arrive by train, bus, car, bike or on foot; the easiest way is to walk from the city centre. There is no supervised parking in the immediate vicinity of the festival area.
How much do tickets and passes cost?
Tickets are sold through the official outlets Tiketti and Lippu.fi, and prices rise as the event approaches. CITTARI VIP passes cost 299€ for 3 days and 195€ for 1 day. Day-based pensioner tickets and children's tickets (ages 3-10) are also available. A prepaid drink card is offered at 60.41€ (50€ balance + 10.41€ card fee).
Is camping available?
Kuopiorock is not opening its own campsite this summer. The organisers recommend the Matkailukeskus Rauhalahti holiday centre, about 6 km south of the centre (Rauhankatu 3, 70700 Kuopio), which offers caravan and tent pitches bookable online at visitrauhalahti.fi. Buses 7 and 16 run directly from Rauhalahti to Kuopio's market square.
Is there food on site, with vegetarian/vegan options?
The CITTARI VIP area features a buffet by the local caterer Juhlapalvelu Remar, open daily from 17:00 to 20:00 (one meal per day included with the VIP pass). A vegan option is offered each day (Tofu Caponata on Thursday, teriyaki veggie balls on Friday, chili sin carne on Saturday), with lactose-free (L), dairy-free (M) and gluten-free (G) labelling. Special diets and allergies should be reported to [email protected] by 20 July 2026.
Is payment cashless?
The bar points run on drink cards (drinkkikortti): prepaid payment cards loaded with 50€, rechargeable on site at the alcohol points and sold only in advance. For tickets, accepted payment methods include bank transfer/debit card, credit card, MobilePay, invoice (Tiketti OP / Lippu.fi) and culture benefits.

The festival has 4 stages: K-Citymarket Haapaniemi Stage (Stadion lava 1), Minna Stage (Stadion lava II), Savonia Stage and Kuopio Rock Academy goes Väinö Stage. Thursday headliners: Amorphis, Danko Jones, The 69 Eyes, Von Hertzen Brothers. Friday: Nylon Beat, H.E.A.T, Lordi, Turmion Kätilöt, Tarot, Dingo, Maija Vilkkumaa. Saturday: Eppu Normaali, Käärijä, Klamydia, Happoradio, Neljä Ruusua, Negative.
Is there an age limit and are children admitted?
The recommended age for the programme is 12, but rockers of all ages are welcome. The VIP and alcohol-serving areas are over-18s only (K-18). Children have their own tickets, and a 3-10 year-old children's ticket goes on sale in early 2026.
