Mahlstrom Open Air is a metal and rock festival held at Sportplatz am Herthasee in Berlin. Over three days, the festival brings together 21 artists celebrating distorted guitars in the German capital.
The 2026 edition explores heavy metal, thrash metal, death metal and hard rock. The festival pairs Berlin acts with international bands in an energetic and varied programme.
The bill also ventures into folk metal, power metal, punk rock and alternative rock. Doom metal, stoner rock and progressive metal round out an eclectic lineup celebrating Berlin's metal scene.
