On The Waterfront 2026: Indie Rock in Liverpool
On The Waterfront transforms Pier Head in Liverpool from June 17 to 20, 2026 into a stage celebrating British indie rock and Britpop heritage. Facing the waters of the Mersey, this urban festival brings together alternative rock scene legends and local Liverpool talents. The event embodies the creative spirit of the city that gave birth to the Beatles, in a festive and popular atmosphere.
The headliner features Paul Weller, icon of Britpop and British mod revival, legendary figure who has been through The Jam, The Style Council and a prolific solo career. Irish band Snow Patrol brings their alternative rock and post-Britpop anthems that marked the 2000s.
The Liverpool scene is illustrated with Red Rum Club, band fusing indie rock, power pop and noise pop influences. The event also hosts Cream Classical, orchestral project reinterpreting classics from British rock and club culture.
On The Waterfront celebrates Liverpool's musical soul, from Britpop heritage to the new indie rock generation. Four days of riverside concerts, combining nostalgia and discoveries in the British singer-songwriter and pop rock spirit. An essential meeting to experience the creative energy of northern England's alternative rock scene.
