When is the 2026 festival and how late does the music run?

Lindisfarne runs from Thursday 3 to Saturday 5 September 2026 at Beal Farm, looking across to Holy Island on the Northumberland coast. Music starts at 3pm on the Thursday and finishes at 1am; on Friday and Saturday it runs from mid-morning through to 4am. There is no music or entertainment on the Sunday.

Is camping included in the ticket?

Yes. Every multi-day ticket includes camping as standard, and there is no discount if you decide not to camp. Day tickets do not cover camping, with one exception: the Saturday day ticket includes it. Bringing a campervan, motorhome, caravan or converted vehicle needs a separate live-in vehicle ticket, and sleeping in an unconverted van or car is not allowed.

How many stages are there?

Nine stages and over 250 bands. Shorefields is the main stage marquee; the Viking Brewhouse pours Lindisfarne Mead alongside the funkiest and punkiest acts; Dingle Dell mixes comedians, psychedelic folk and soul singers; The Temple and The Altar are the DJ rooms; the Dub Shack brings reggae and beachy basslines; Shanti Bee runs gong baths, saunas and yoga by day and house parties by night; and Delta City returns with a reworked version of its rundown back-streets installation.

What time can I arrive, and when do I have to leave?

Vehicles are only let onto the site within set windows: 11am to 8.30pm on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 September, and 9am to 8.30pm on Saturday 5. Everyone must have left by 3pm on the Sunday. You can leave and come back during the weekend if you keep your wristband and parking pass, but you will have to queue again with the arriving traffic.

What is the nearest train station?

Berwick-upon-Tweed, on the East Coast Main Line between London King's Cross and Edinburgh. A bus service links the station to the site, and Woody's Taxis offer festival-goers 10 percent off fares subject to availability (01289 547 009). By car the postcode is TD15 2PB: the site sits 8 miles south of Berwick, 50 miles north of Newcastle and 65 miles south of Edinburgh, and you should follow the road signs from the A1 to reach the right entrance.

Can I bring children?

No, this is a strictly over-18s event, with a Challenge 25 policy at both the box office and the bars. The organisers explain that from the launch year onwards, budget, logistics and the law made it impossible to provide proper facilities and entertainment for children. Dogs, on the other hand, are welcome and come in free with a ticket holder, though never inside the music marquees.

How accessible is the site for disabled visitors?

There is a dedicated viewing platform at the Shorefields stage, with limited capacity on a first come, first served basis for wheelchair users and their companions. Accessible portaloos are provided in the campsite, the live-in vehicle field and the arena, but there are no accessible showers. Camping and parking closer to the arena, plus a free carer ticket, can be arranged by emailing the team in advance. The event is held in open countryside, so the ground is naturally uneven.

What food and drink is available?

A number of bars operate across the site with a full range of drinks, and some food traders stay open on the Sunday morning to serve breakfast before everyone leaves. You may bring a reasonable amount of alcohol for your own use into the campsite, but none at all into the arena, and glass is banned outright. Barbecues, liquid and solid fuel stoves, camping candles, fire pits and generators are all prohibited; only gas stoves with a canister under 600g are permitted.

Are there showers?

Yes, and it is new for 2026: shower facilities with fresh running water are being installed, with a usage fee payable onsite to cover the facilities and staffing. Bring a towel. Glamping guests additionally get hot showers and toilets reserved for them.

Do I have to pay for parking?

Yes. Passes are cheapest pre-booked online; paying on arrival means a higher flat rate whatever day you turn up, longer waits and no guarantee of a space. Once parked, the walk from the car park to the campsite takes anywhere between 2 and 10 minutes depending on your pitch.

How long has the festival been going?

Lindisfarne Festival started in early September 2015, when a 2,000-strong crowd gathered in the fields at Beal Farm. The 2026 edition is its 11th year: after a rocky patch in spring 2025, founder Conleth stepped back in to run the event with backing from the investors behind Hardwick Festival.
