📋About
Santander Music Festival at Campa de la Magdalena: The Cantabrian Pop-Rock Celebration
The Santander Music Festival has established itself as the unmissable musical event on the Cantabrian coast, transforming the magnificent Campa de la Magdalena into a theater for summer musical celebrations. This festival embraces the diversity of the contemporary Spanish pop, rock, and indie pop scene in an exceptional natural setting facing the sea. Since its inception, Santander Music attracts a family-friendly, multigenerational audience drawn by accessible programming valuing both legends and new talent.
The 2026 edition presents an eclectic lineup reflecting the creative richness of current Spanish-language music. Festival-goers will discover Rigoberta Bandini, a Spanish pop phenomenon who conquered the country with infectious energy and feminist lyrics. Xoel López brings poetic sensibility and sophisticated indie pop, while Guitarricadelafuente charms with modern, melancholic flamenco pop.
The festival doesn't forget its rock and punk roots with iconic acts like Pignoise, Spanish pop punk veterans, and Los Punsetes, representatives of Madrid's sarcastic indie rock. Las Ketchup promise a moment of festive nostalgia with unforgettable europop hits, creating refreshing contrast with more alternative proposals.
The emerging scene also occupies significant space with La Paloma, Siloé, and Hoonine, three projects embodying Spanish independent music renewal. Rusowsky brings experimental urban touches, while Coolnenas represents the new queer wave of Spanish pop. With an idyllic location and programming celebrating diversity, Santander Music Festival 2026 promises a memorable weekend where contemporary Spanish music shines in all its splendor.
❓FAQ
When does Santander Music 2026 take place?
The festival takes over the Península de La Magdalena on Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August 2026, two nights of music. Do note that the Romeo Santos and Prince Royce show on 2 August at the Campa de la Magdalena is a parallel concert with its own ticket: neither festival passes nor day tickets are valid for it.
What are the ticket validation and box office hours?
The validation area is open from 15:00 to 02:00 on Friday and from 16:00 to 02:00 on Saturday, while the on-site box office runs from 16:00 to 02:00 on both days. Have your ID ready along with your ticket. Day tickets are validated on their own day, and once validation closes they are handled at the box office.
How do you pay inside the festival?
Santander Music is fully cashless: an NFC wristband linked to your ticket is fitted when you validate, and it is the only accepted payment method at the food trucks and bars. Online top-ups with bonuses, 6 € free on 60 € and 15 € free on 120 €, ran until 26 July at 23:59; during the festival you top up at the physical points inside the venue, in cash or by card. Unused credit can be refunded between 4 and 18 August by scanning the QR code on the wristband, so hold on to it. Promotional credit is spent last and is never refunded.
Is there food on site?
Yes, food trucks and several bars operate inside the venue. Both are cashless: the wristband is the only way to pay.
Can children attend?
Children aged 4 and under get in free, and the organisers recommend ear protection for every child. Under-16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult and hand in the signed parental authorisation form available on the festival website; 16 and 17-year-olds only need the signed form and can attend on their own.
