Zermatt Unplugged: Where Acoustic Music Meets Alpine Peaks
In the heart of the Swiss Alps, facing the legendary Matterhorn, Zermatt Unplugged has celebrated the beauty of acoustic music in an exceptional mountain setting for years. This unique winter festival offers an intimate lineup blending folk, alternative rock, indie folk, and chamber pop, providing festival-goers with a warm and authentic musical experience.
The 2026 edition brings together a prestigious international lineup featuring Placebo in acoustic formation, TOM ODELL with his emotionally-charged piano, and the delicate harmonies of Kings of Convenience. The festival also welcomes Emeli Sandé, whose powerful voice transcends genres, and Herbert Grönemeyer, a legend of German music.
The artistic diversity is expressed through performances by Nick Mulvey, Gabrielle Aplin, and Valerie June, the latter bringing touches of americana and bluegrass. The Ronnie Scott's All Stars add a jazz dimension while Mighty Oaks and Leif Vollebekk enrich the festival's sonic palette.
In the intimate atmosphere of Zermatt's cozy venues, each concert becomes a privileged encounter between artists and audience. Zermatt Unplugged transcends the simple festival format to become a winter ritual where stripped-down music reveals its full essence, magnified by the altitude and beauty of the surrounding mountains.
