Acieloaperto Festival 2026: alternative pop and indie rock in Cesena
Acieloaperto Festival takes place at the Rocca Malatestiana in Cesena, Emilia-Romagna, Italy — one of the region's most remarkable historic settings. From 28 June to 22 August 2026, it presents a series of pop and indie concerts in an open-air amphitheatre.
The 2026 edition welcomes 4 artists: WHITE LIES, pioneers of the British post-punk revival, alongside Mannarino and Subsonica, key figures of the Italian alternative pop scene.
The programme blends electronic rock, pop rock, indietronica and synth-pop, with indie rock and alternative rock influences. A mix reflecting both international trends and the richness of the contemporary Italian scene.

How many stages are there?
At the Rocca Malatestiana in Cesena the evening runs across two platforms: the cuore stage for the early sets and the scintilla stage for the headliner. The other dates each move to a venue of their own, from the Parco di Ponente in Cesenatico to Villa Torlonia in San Mauro Pascoli.
What time do the gates open?
Doors at 6.30pm, with the refreshment corner already running. Music begins around 7pm on the cuore stage and the headline slot falls between 9.15pm and 9.45pm depending on the night.
What is there to eat and drink?
An angolo ristoro is open from doors onwards. The bars are plastic-free: water is poured from a refillable dispenser, single-use straws have been dropped, and drinks come in the Bicchiere Amico, a washable deposit cup printed with the artwork of the edition, which plenty of people keep as a souvenir. The ice served at the bars is produced with solar power.
Is anything planned for children?
On some nights, yes: the opening date on 28 June at the Rocca Malatestiana featured a children's drawing workshop at 7.30pm in the tables area.
How many shows does the 2026 season include?
Eight, spread from 28 June to 23 August, including I Cani on 27 July, White Lies with Satantango on 28 July and a sold-out Mannarino on 2 August. Tash Sultana's 23 August date at Villa Torlonia has been cancelled.
How long has the festival been running?
2026 is billed as line-up #14, the fourteenth edition of the series staged by the RetroPop Live cultural association, active in Romagna for more than ten years — its first decade was even turned into a documentary film.
