Afro Nation Portugal 2026: afropop, dancehall and R&B in Portimão
Afro Nation Portugal is held on Praia da Rocha beach in Portimão, in the Algarve, Portugal. This beach festival dedicated to Afro-diasporic music has quickly become a reference event for afropop, afro fusion and African electronic music.
The 2026 edition (2 to 4 July) welcomes 47 artists with NISKA headlining, alongside artists such as Asake and Awilo Longomba, a legend of Congolese rumba.
The programme covers afro soul, afropiano and gqom, with influences from dancehall, R&B and trap — a comprehensive panorama of contemporary Afro music by the sea.
From 2 to 4 July 2026 in Portimão, Afro Nation turns the beach into an international stage. Tickets available on the official website.
