Dark Bombastic Evening takes place annually at RYMA, an iconic club in Mediaș, a Saxon town in Transylvania. This 2026 edition, scheduled from July 12 to 15, brings together 10 artists for four days of dark and atmospheric music. Since its inception, the festival has cultivated a strong identity around doom, post-metal and contemporary sound experiments, attracting a knowledgeable European audience.
The 2026 lineup explores the territories of atmospheric metal and experimental sound. Among the headliners: The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation, Heretoir and Kwoon.
The festival explores a wide range of sonic niches, from doomgaze to atmospheric black metal via dark jazz and nocturnal ambients.
