📋About
Dour, the Borinage's eclectic laboratory
Born in September 1989 in the coal-mining basin of the Borinage, where five bands played to 2,000 people on a single stage, Dour Festival has grown into one of Europe's boldest discovery events. From 15 to 19 July 2026, the Plaine de la Machine à Feu in Belgium hosts, according to the official site, more than 280 artists across nine stages, running daily from noon to five in the morning. It is this appetite for everything — electro, hip-hop, punk, reggae, techno — that has shaped, for over thirty years, the identity of an event famous for breaking new acts before anyone else.
The 2026 programme embodies that deliberate range. Rap headliners anchor the evenings, with Orelsan billed on 17 July and Damso on the 18th, while the 19 July closing night blends the dancehall of Sean Paul with the post-punk of Interpol. The French rap scene is heavily represented, from Alonzo to Vald.
Far more than a star-studded bill, Dour stays true to its discovery DNA: the Borinage is where you go to hear what will define the season ahead. Main ticket sales are open on the official site, with weekend passes and camping packages available.
