📋About
Garorock: 30 years of festival on the banks of the Garonne in Marmande
Born in 1997 in the old slaughterhouses of Marmande, in the Lot-et-Garonne, the festival grew up with its town before settling its stages on the Plaine de la Filhole, right beside the Garonne river. Thirty editions on, an event that started out do-it-yourself and a touch off-the-grid has become one of France's major open-air festivals, drawing more than 100,000 attendees each summer according to Wikipedia. The 30th edition, announced by the official site for 26-28 June 2026, even opens the party on Thursday 25 June with a Warm Up night dedicated to electronic and techno music on the Village's CTRL+B stage.
The line-up's strength lies in its unapologetic eclecticism, spanning French rap, electro and big-room dance. Friday highlights the electronic live show of Major Lazer, the rap of Disiz and the energy of Timmy Trumpet. Saturday belongs to PLK and British songwriter Tom Odell.
Sunday closes the weekend with Gims and the on-stage union of Vald with Vladimir Cauchemar and Todiefor, while rising talent Theodora confirms the festival's role as a springboard for new voices. On tickets, the official site offers passes from €35 and a festival + warm up deal from €110, with easier access for young fans through France's Pass Culture.
