Pop Rock

Pop Rock: 204 upcoming festivals, including 77 with tickets on sale.

Pop Rock blends the catchy melodies and lighthearted lyrics of pop with the guitar-driven foundations of rock music, often featuring electric guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards for a softer, more accessible sound than traditional rock and roll. Emerging from the mid-20th century's evolving popular music landscape, it often faced criticism for being a more commercial and less "authentic" version of rock. Iconic artists like The Beatles and Elton John exemplify the genre's enduring appeal. Its widespread popularity has significantly influenced mainstream music, making it a cornerstone of accessible, guitar-based popular music.
