📋About
Graspop Metal Meeting 2026: the four-day metal pilgrimage to Dessel
Founded in 1996 by Peter Van Geel, this Belgian gathering has grown into one of Europe's biggest hard rock and metal events. Having celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2025, the festival returns to Festivalpark Stenehei in Dessel from 18 to 21 June 2026 with four days, five stages (South Stage, North Stage, Marquee, Metal Dome and the Classic Rock Cafe) and a bill the official site lists at more than 150 confirmed acts. More than a festival, it has become an institution and a rallying point for riff-hungry fans from across the continent.
The 2026 lineup compresses several generations of heavy music into one weekend. The opening Thursday already stacks Megadeth, the symphonic sweep of Within Temptation, the nu-metal of Limp Bizkit and the punk rock of The Offspring. The following days roll out headliner after headliner, from the rock'n'roll of Volbeat to the metalcore of Bring Me The Horizon on Saturday, all the way to a Sunday crowned by the macabre theatre of Alice Cooper.
That stylistic range is the festival's signature: classic heavy metal, alternative metal and metalcore share the stages across all four days. As the official site notes, weekend passes and Friday day tickets remain available while the other days have sold out, a fitting sign of the devotion that surrounds this summit of European metal.
