Headbangers Open Air 2026: extreme metal in Germany
Headbangers Open Air is an extreme metal festival held in Germany. Over three days, the festival brings together 22 artists celebrating death metal, black metal and thrash metal in a radical yet friendly atmosphere.
The 2026 edition features underground acts and extreme metal legends. The festival spans brutal death metal, melodic death metal, doom metal and grindcore in an intense and uncompromising programme.
The bill also ventures into folk metal, viking metal, pagan metal and sludge metal. Groove metal, stoner metal and post-metal round out a lineup drawing heavy music fans.
