Midsummer Prog Festival settles into the Dutch Muziekgieterij on June 20, 2026, to celebrate the heights of contemporary progressive rock and progressive metal. This boutique festival brings together 10 of the most innovative artists from the international prog scene, offering fans of complex time signatures and ambitious sonic architectures a day dedicated to exploring musical frontiers.
The 2026 lineup is led by British TESSERACT, pioneers of atmospheric djent and masters of hypnotic polyrhythms, and legend Geoff Tate, iconic voice of Queensrÿche whose vocal performances defined 80s progressive metal. Leprous singer Einar Solberg will present his solo project exploring territories of art rock and experimental.
The festival highlights European prog diversity with Polish band Quidam and their symphonic atmospheres, Dutch Amarok with their fusion of folk and progressive, and Cyan representing new post-rock waves. Americans Ok Goodnight will bring their modern approach to cinematic prog metal.
The underground scene is represented by Benthos and their progressive doom explorations, Blowbeat with their unique blend of jazz fusion and metal, and Ursa exploring territories of progressive ambient.
