Millau Jazz Festival 2026: jazz and experimental hip-hop festival in Millau, France
A summer gathering in southern Aveyron, the Millau Jazz Festival takes over the Jardins du Château de Sambucy in Millau in mid-July to celebrate avant-garde jazz and its crossovers with hip-hop. This intimate festival champions experimentation and hybrid forms in the historic setting of the château.
The 2026 edition brings together 9 artists across contemporary jazz and spoken word. Saxophonist Émile Parisien and accordionist Vincent Peirani, leading figures on the European jazz scene, share the bill with rapper Mike Ladd, a pioneer of abstract hip hop.
The programme explores Ethio-jazz with Arat Kilo and Mamani Keita, experimental hip hop and improvised music, building bridges between tradition and innovation. This bold approach makes the festival a laboratory for contemporary music.
On July 17 and 18, 2026, Millau hosts this jazz and experimental hip-hop gathering. Discover a demanding programme and let yourself be surprised.
