Musique Sacrée de Perpignan 2026: Sacred and Classical Music Festival in Perpignan
The Musique Sacrée de Perpignan festival is a benchmark event for sacred and early music in southern France. Held at the Église Saint-Jean le Vieux in Perpignan, this spring gathering brings together the finest performers of sacred, baroque and classical music for concerts in the most beautiful religious buildings of the Catalan city.
The 2026 edition, from March 21 to April 2, gathers 24 artists including Benjamin Alard, Camille Thomas and Elizabeth Vitu. Specialist ensembles such as Ensemble Irini, Canticum Novum and La Tempête anchor the programme.
From sacred chant to contemplative jazz, through chamber music and harpsichord, the festival explores musical spirituality in all its forms. Yom, Paul Lay and Simon-Pierre Bestion embody the dialogue between musical traditions.
For two weeks, Perpignan resonates with the finest works of the sacred repertoire. A festival perpetuating the tradition of spiritual music in the northern Catalan capital.
