OverOslo 2027: four nights of live music on Grefsenkollen hill, high above Oslo
Set on Grefsenkollen, a wooded hill overlooking the Norwegian capital, OverOslo can point to sixteen years of history and describes itself as one of the biggest music festivals in Eastern Norway. The main stage has the Oslo skyline behind it, crowds spread out over grassy natural amphitheatres, and the grounds also include the Arena and the Skogsscenen, or forest stage. It runs outdoors from Wednesday June 16 to Saturday June 19, 2027, with sunsets over the city and a site designed to keep queues away.
The bill is still partial and entirely Norwegian. Wednesday opens with the disco-tinged electronic music of Todd Terje & The Olsens; Thursday turns to rock with Åge & Svarttrosten; Friday is yet to be revealed. Saturday is the busiest day: pop from Delara and Ramón, indie rock from Kakkmaddafakka, rock from TØFL and rap from TEDDY. More names are on the way, and no stage times have been released yet.

You can also walk up the Akebakken forest trail, cycle, or ride a free Audi shuttle from the Akebakken stop. Thon Hotel Storo, the festival hotel, sits 200 m from the buses. Wheelchair users have reserved spaces in the Arena and at the Skogsscenen, after a gentle 100 m climb from the gate. Umbrellas, chairs, prams, dogs, food and drinks stay outside; only empty bottles are let in.
