Ragnarök Festival 2026: extreme metal festival in Lichtenfels, Germany
A must-attend event for extreme metal enthusiasts in Germany, Ragnarök Festival takes place annually at the Stadthalle in Lichtenfels, Bavaria. Since its inception, this festival has established itself as a landmark for black metal, death metal, and dark atmospheric sounds.
The 2026 edition gathers 14 artists from April 9 to 11, with a lineup focused on atmospheric black metal and melodic death metal. Headliners include Septicflesh, Swedish veterans Hypocrisy, as well as Psychonaut 4 and Panopticon.
The musical spectrum ranges from symphonic black metal to depressive black metal, alongside viking metal and post-metal. Fans of progressive and gothic sounds will also find plenty to enjoy, with several discoveries to be made.
