The Beautiful Swamp Blues 2026: Blues Festival in Calais
The The Beautiful Swamp Blues festival is an event dedicated to authentic blues in northern France. Set at the Grande Halle in Calais, this spring gathering brings together the finest European and American blues artists for nearly a month of concerts celebrating the roots and evolution of the genre.
The 2026 edition gathers 27 artists headlined by Dawn Tyler Watson, Little Fat Daddy and The Wild Guys. Jazz blues is championed by Kaz Hawkins and Matthew Skoller Band.
From electric blues to boogie, through swing and soul blues, the festival explores every shade of the genre. Nirek Mokar & His Boogie Messengers, The Honeymen and Spider Crawl embody the diversity of this blues programming.
From April 2 to 26, 2026, Calais pulses to the rhythm of the blues for nearly a month. A rare festival in France for enthusiasts of authentic blues and African-American music.
