📋About
Wildlands 2026 will take place in Big Sky Montana on July 31 through August 1, 2026.
❓FAQ
When and where does Wildlands take place in 2026?
Wildlands Music takes over the Big Sky Events Arena, at 450 Aspen Leaf Drive in Gallatin Gateway, Montana, for two nights: Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August 2026. It is an outdoor show in a sagebrush field, held rain or shine, with no refunds.
What time do gates open?
Gates open at 5:00pm for VIP and GA Floor PLUS+ holders, then at 5:30pm for general admission, with music starting at 6:00pm. Arriving early pays off, as parking fills up quickly. Once your ticket is scanned and your credentials activated, you may not leave and re-enter.
Can I camp or park an RV at the venue?
No. Camping and RV parking are not allowed on or near the arena. The closest options are the first-come, first-served Forest Service campgrounds around Big Sky — Red Cliff, Greek Creek, Moose Creek and Swan Creek — bookable through recreation.gov, plus dispersed camping on nearby public land.
How do I get there without driving?
An air-conditioned motorcoach runs round trip from Bozeman for $60: pickup at 3:30pm outside the Kimpton Armory Hotel and Element Hotel Bozeman, transfer to the Town Center / Hungry Moose Skyline stop, and a return departure at 11:30pm or when the show ends. Skyline Bus and Skyline Connect run later hours until 1am on 31 July and 1 August. Note that Big Sky currently has no Uber or Lyft service.
Is there food and drink on site?
Yes — regional and local vendors plus a full bar, and free water stations where you can refill an empty bottle. Outside food and drinks are turned away at the gate, along with coolers, glass, cans, backpacks and chairs or blankets.
Do children need a ticket?
Wildlands is an all-ages event, and children aged 2 and under, as well as babies in arms, get in free with a ticketed adult. One stroller and one diaper bag per child are allowed. On Saturday 1 August, the free Wildlands Family Jam runs from 10am to noon in the arena VIP tent, with no ticket required: live music from Papa Strings and Jamie McLean, face painting, balloon animals, kids activities and a free pancake breakfast.
What do tickets cost?
Single-night general admission is $195, GA Floor PLUS+ $350 and VIP $575, with Friday and Saturday sold separately; a two-day GA pass is $390. VIP includes early entry at 5pm, two drink vouchers, covered lounges and bars, and air-conditioned restrooms with flushable toilets.
Are ADA accommodations available?
Yes, the venue offers ADA accommodations — email [email protected] ahead of the event to arrange assistance. Service dogs require strict pre-approval at least 72 hours in advance; other pets are not permitted.
How should I dress?
Big Sky sits at roughly 7,000 feet, so expect nighttime temperatures in the 30s to 50s and daytime highs in the 50s to 70s. Layers and a rain jacket are a good idea, and the field is a mix of dirt, rocks and grass, so supportive closed-toe shoes beat sandals.
Where does the money raised go?
Wildlands doubles as a conservation fundraiser: the 2026 lead partner is the Property and Environment Research Center (PERC), supported through ticket and sponsor sales, merchandise, a silent auction and the Wildlands charity dinner. Last year's edition raised $1.3 million in total.
