What is there to eat on site?
This is first and foremost a barbecue festival: around twenty acclaimed pitmasters set up their stands, including Terry Black's Barbecue (Austin), Pappy's Smokehouse (St. Louis), Little Miss BBQ (Phoenix), Smoque BBQ and Green Street Smoked Meats (Chicago). Food and drinks are paid for separately from admission.
What are the 2026 dates?
Windy City Smokeout runs from 8 to 12 July 2026 — five days — at United Center Lot C in Chicago (1901 W Madison St).
What are the daily hours?
Wednesday 8: 4pm-10pm; Thursday 9 and Friday 10: 2pm-10pm; Saturday 11 and Sunday 12: 1pm-10pm (Central Time).
Do children pay for admission?
Children aged 10 and under get free General Admission when accompanied by a wristband-holding adult. Wristbands are, however, required for them in the VIP and Platinum areas.
How do I pay on site?
The festival is cashless: several cash-free bars and concessions are spread across the grounds, and you can link a payment card to your wristband to pay.
