📋About
Abode on the Rock 2026: house and techno across Malta's historic venues
Across the iconic venues of Malta, the small Mediterranean island at the crossroads of cultures, Abode on the Rock takes over unique spaces each June to offer an extraordinary house and techno experience. This five-day festival bets on the authenticity of its locations — fortresses, panoramic terraces, underground clubs — to anchor electronic music within the island's heritage.
The 2026 programme unites respected figures from the international scene: Jamie Jones, founder of Hot Creations and a pillar of melodic house-techno, and Kepler, whose sets cross techno's many borders. ILARIO ALICANTE, a Hispanic-Argentine techno virtuoso, and Richy Ahmed, a leading British house DJ, complete this quality-driven bill.
Abode on the Rock stands out for a sound approach centred on dance and electro in their most subtle expressions. Afro house, acid house and deep tech coexist with more introspective moments. The Maltese setting, bathed in Mediterranean light, adds a unique sensory dimension to every performance.
Abode on the Rock embodies a vision of electronic festival culture that breaks with large commercial gatherings: intimate, curious and deeply committed to artistic quality. With 51 artists across five days and performance venues that are genuinely one-of-a-kind, it offers an experience that stays with you long after returning home.
